Family luxury villa with pool - Children's pool - Quiet & harmonic environment - Breathtaking seaviews of Alymrida
Villa Maria II is a new luxury, modern, 3 bedroom villa which sleeps up to 6 persons. Situated about 200mt above sea level on the hillside of Mount Drapanos on the outskirts of Kokkino Horio in the Apokoronas region of Chania, western Crete, the two storey villa enjoys spectacular views towards the White Mountains, Souda Bay, and the Akrotiri Peninsula, not forgetting the stunning sunsets which can also be seen to the west. It is located only 400m away from the village which was the location for the village scenes in the 1964 film ‘Zorba the Greek’, starring Anthony Quinn. Here you can buy grocery basics as well as fresh bread. There are pretty narrow lanes and single storey houses with old Venetian arches, and the village also is home to the well-known local glass blowing factory which is not too far from the villa.
Only 2km away is the village of Plaka with a couple of shops, restaurants, and café-bars, and it provides a lovely cosy local evening atmosphere. Swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving are only a few of the activities sea lovers can enjoy in the nearby resort of Almirida which is 4km away. Almirida has many choices for a night out with bars, coffee shops and restaurants that offer relaxation and a good meal by the sea.
