Thermes Luxury Villas is an outstanding property located on the outskirts of Megalochori just 6k south of Fira, the capital of the mesmerizing island of Santorini. The island has been written about by poets and artists have tried to capture its beauty, but nothing can quite compare with the reality of this tiny magical Greek island siting in the Aegean Sea. So rich in history and steeped in myth, it is situated on the southern east tip of the Cyclades cluster of islands. Santorini experienced a catastrophic volcanic event in 1500 BC, and it was once famous for its seafaring captains who mastered a thriving trade from Russia towards Italy, England and France. Today it is rated as one of the world’s top destinations. Good quality wine is produced here, and with stunning sunsets, smooth volcanic beaches, typical Cycladic stone architecture and white-washed buildings Santorini is a true gem of the Aegean.
The villas take their name from the hot springs found only metres away and they have a commanding panoramic view of the island stretching from as far Thira to Thirasia and from Oia to Akrotiri. The horizon is stunning with the view of the caldera and Santorini’s world renowned sunsets which are a sight to behold. Only several minutes by car from Fira, the capital city, and from the island's new port, it is only a 10minute stroll from Megalochori which is one of the oldest, most authentic and well preserved villages of Santorini thus creating an perfect location where luxury and old village charm combine. The village sits on a hill with a maze of steep alleyways and narrow streets. The area is surrounded by numerous vineyards which lie in a beautiful countryside setting. It has a rich wine producing tradition and is home to the famous Boutari wine which is produced on the outskirts of the village. Churches, Cycladic houses, and narrow alleyways are all marks of Aegean tradition. There are restaurants in the village that serve delicious fare.
Thermes Luxury Villas is outstanding and stylish, luxurious and traditional, and minimalistic yet chic with a cool and spacious ambience. Cycladic tradition is upheld with features of rock and wood, and a décor dominated in shades of blue and whitewashed walls. There are seven villas in total, each named after the seven most important goddesses of ancient Greece. Each villa has a large wooden decked terrace where you can soak up the sun and dip in your own infinity pool as you look out to amazing views of the azure sea and beyond.
Each villa is two storey with either 2 or 3 bedrooms, each with slight variations.
